Install "Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x 86). Now the questions: why updates must rely on old packages in installation? Why can they not do the job on their own? (That is anyway to work around this problem and more) a reinstallation of the system, or b) hide this update? In the end, I can't yet to complete installation of the update. I had this problem and manually downloaded several vcredist package old version and uninstalled those corresponding to my system, but there is still the KB2467175 one which the download link was dead. This is the real cause of constantly repeated same updates KB2538242 etc., appear. msi, Microsoft Update still believes that the update is successful, which in fact is unfinished, but simply "cancelled successfully. The old facilities must be uninstalled with their files vcredist.msi of origin before the end of the new facility. must require the old files vcredist.msi (to uninstall the old stuff)?
